This Valentine craft makes a decorative gift and is easy for adults or kids to assemble.

Turn an old liquid soap dispenser into a handmade gift for Valentine’s Day. This craft for kids or adults uses either a new or recycled liquid soap dispenser. This Valentine craft is simple and many of the supplies may be currently found in a craft closet or around the house. Even preschoolers can learn how to make this craft as a gift to give on February 14.

A decorative soap dispenser project can even encourage children to wash their hands more often. Children will be more likely to use a soap dispenser that they put together and decorated.

Supplies to Make a Valentine Liquid Soap Dispenser

An empty soap dispenser with the labels removed – either a new or recycled one
Clear liquid soap
Small decorative items in colors and shapes that symbolize Valentine’s Day such as buttons, heart shaped craft foam, marbles, artificial red or white flowers, craft jewels, etc. (Be certain that the decorative items are not small enough to travel up and clog the soap dispenser tube.)
Stickers – Choose stickers with a Valentine’s Day theme or heart stickers in red, pink, purple or white

How to Make the Inside of the Valentine Liquid Soap Dispenser Look Attractive

Start with a clean empty soap dispenser.
Drop Valentine themed decorative items into the empty soap dispenser. Add heavier items such as marbles and jewels first and lighter items such as artificial flowers last.
While holding soap dispenser upright, slowly pour clear liquid soap into dispenser until soap level is approximately 1” from the top.
Tightly screw on the soap dispenser cap. Wash and thoroughly dry the outside of the soap dispenser.

How to Make the Outside of the Valentine Liquid Soap Dispenser Look Attractive

Place heart and Valentine stickers on the front of the soap dispenser. Small decorative stickers can also be added around the pump top.
